Slip stitch (ss)

Slip stitch has many uses such as joining stitches together, moving from one stitch to the target stitch, or closing the end of a circular round or a project. 

*Insert the hook through a stitch, yoh and draw the yarn through the stitch and loop on the hook to complete a slip stitch.

Repeat from * to create the next ss. Picture shows 8 slip stitches.

Double crochet two together (dc2tog)

Double crochet two together stitch is used to decrease the number of stitches in a round/row of a project.

*Insert hook into the next st, yoh and draw yarn through the st, repeat from * in the next st. There are 3 loops left on the hook.

yoh and draw the yarn through all 3 loops on the hook to complete a dc2tog stitch.
